Check the base type on your existing bulb or fixture. Match the fitting, then check that the bulb’s dimensions leave enough space.

Warmer light can make a room feel cosy. A cooler tone may suit a task-focused space. Compare the colour temperature on the label.

Choose the brightness.
Look at lumens when comparing brightness. Check the fixture’s limits and, if you use a dimmer, confirm that both bulb and dimmer are compatible.

How do I know which fitting I need?
Check the code printed on your existing bulb, the fixture label or its instructions. If you’re unsure, tell us what is printed there and describe the fitting. Switch off the power before checking a bulb.
Does the bulb’s shape or size matter?
Yes. It needs to fit safely inside the fixture, and the shape affects how the bulb looks when it is visible. Check both the base and the overall dimensions before choosing.
Can any bulb be used with a dimmer?
No. Look for a bulb specifically marked as dimmable and check its compatibility with your dimmer and fixture. Ask us about the specifications before ordering.
